What to watch on TV tonight: Friday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Crystal Maze: Celebrity Special (Channel 4, 9pm)
The final episode of The Crystal Maze featuring celebrities airs tonight, and they’ve definitely kept the best until last. Richard Ayoade will be guiding Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, Louisa Harland, Nicola Coughlin and Dylan Llewellyn through the various zones of the Crystal Maze. That’s right, it’s a Derry Girls special. Naturally, we expect everything that goes wrong to be blamed on Dylan.
Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum and Dad (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm)
If you missed Rio Ferdinand’s powerful documentary last year, now’s your chance to catch up. The BAFTA-winning documentary follows Rio Ferdinand as he comes to terms with the death of his 34-year-old wife Rebecca, who passed away after a battle with cancer in 2015. The footballer shares his feelings as he accepts his loss and how it is affecting him, his children and their future. Rio meets other families coping with bereavement and looks at the services available to help people in his position.
The Best of The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)
Ryan Tubridy presents a highlights reel, which features some of the biggest stars he has spoken to over the last year. Including Conor McGregor, Aslan, Maeve Higgins and clips from that unforgettable episode that was filmed duing the snowstorm, with about ten people in the audience.
