What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Downton Abbey (TV 3, 9pm)

Shhhhhhhh, don’t tell us what happened on Sunday, Irish viewers are only getting a chance to see it tonight. Expect the usual impeccable period costume and backstabbing.

The Apprentice (BBC 1, 9pm)

The candidates are given a task involving writing and designing children’s books, along with recording an accompanying CD. We can’t wait to see how they mess this one up.

The Dark Knight (3e, 11.30pm)

It’s kinda a rule that you have to watch this Batman movie when it’s on telly, so we’re adding this in as a reminder. Heath Ledger, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and of course, Christian Bale, star in this almost-perfect adaptation of the comic books.

Everyone is talking about… Graham Linehan’s new show

In good news, Channel 4 have ordered a new sci-fi comedy written by Father Ted creator Graham Linehan and Adam Buxton of the Adam and Joe Show.

The Radio Times describe the show as follows:

The Cloud follows the fairly hapless crew of Cloud Station 13, a data hub floating in space, set up to protect the vast amounts of information humanity now hoards on its devices. Of course that information largely comprises selfies, copious pictures of kittens and, we are afraid to say, rather a lot of porn.
