What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Newsroom (Sky Atlantic, 10pm)

The final series of Aaron Sorkin’s broadcast news drama kicks off tonight. The ACN team have to find their feet after the Genoa incident and are playing it extra safe. Come for the news, stay for the preaching.

The Apprentice (BBC 1, 9pm)

This week, the candidates are on the HMS Belfast to find out about their new task. They have to create and sell a new board game and–judging by the creativity of this lot–it’s going to be a tough one. Nick’s stinkface is sure to feature prominently.

Taken (RTÉ 1, 9.35pm)

As a rule, you have to watch this thriller whenever it’s on TV. If you don’t, Liam Neeson will find you and… you know the rest.

Or flick over for…

Second Captains Live (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm) The lads! If there’s one thing guaranteed, there will be talk of football.

Ireland’s Worst Roads (TV 3, 10.30pm) The roads are in shite, and this will confirm it.

Liberty of London (Channel 4, 9pm) It’s like a Brown Thomas type department shore in London, and you get to go behind the scenes.

Father Ted (RTÉ 2, 9pm) It’s the one with the very dark caves! Obviously a must-see… again.
