What to watch on TV tonight: Saturday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Pauley on The Saturday Night Show (RTÉ 1, 9.20)

So he got shoved off a balcony on Saturday, but Pauley (aka Johnny Ward) has dusted himself off for an appearance with Brendan O’Connor tonight. Sound lad. Power-ballad queen Bonnie Tyler will also be appearing, as well as former Voice coach Jamelia and newly-elected Independent TD Michael Fitzmaurice.

The Jonathan Ross Show (UTV, 10.15pm)

It’s a good one tonight… Paul Hollywood has left our dreams for a while to appear with Ross and apparently massages Keira Knightly in the process. Also appearing are comedian Paul Merton and athlete Gareth Thomas. Music is provided by the excellent London Grammar.

Tara Road (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm)

Based on the Maeve Binchy novel, this lovely drama stars Andie MacDowell, Olivia Williams and Brenda Fricker. Two women trade houses in Dublin and the states without having met, the usual self-discovery and unveiling of drama happens. Excellent.

Everyone’s talking about: Sia on Graham Norton

Mainly because they had no idea what’s going on…

Did you catch the performance? It was a sight to behold. Check out the full reaction here.

Or flick over for:

Apocalypse Now (RTÉ 1, 12.25am) Francis Ford Coppola’s Vietnam war epic.

Winning Streak (RTE 1, 8.20pm) Well, if you’re entertaining your granny for the night, stick this one on.

The X Factor (TV 3, 8pm) It’s a double dumping this week, who’s gonna go? What will Steve sing for Halloween week? We can’t wait.

Strictly Come Dancing (BBC 1, 6.30pm) It’s fright night, expect Halloween themed dances.

Footloose (e4, 9pm) It’s pretty much a rule that you have to watch this when it’s on telly so set your recorder.

This knitting granny created a lot of confusion on the Late Late Show last night>
