What to watch on TV tonight: Sunday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
IFTA Film and Drama Awards 2016 (TV 3, 9pm)
Hosted by Deirdre O’Kane, gongs will be given out to the talent on Irish screens. Watch for the Liam Neeson-President D Higgins moment alone.
Christy Moore, Journey (RTE 1, 9.30pm)
Part one of the two part series which shows Moore looking back on events that have shaped modern day Ireland. There will be songs, too.
The Masters (BBC 2, 6.30pm)
So we’re at the fourth and final day. Surely things will start to get exciting.
Everybody’s talking about… this amazing little singer
Britain’s Got Talent started up again last night, and among some of the more outstanding contestants was 12 year old Beau Dermott.
She sang Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked, and was just amazing.
Seriously, she sounds about 30 lads.
Amanda Holden hit the golden buzzer, giving her a fast track pass to the final.
Or flick over for…
Father Ted (RTE 2, 8.30pm) Because you have to watch it when it’s on.
Waking Ned (TV 3, 10.15pm) An old man wins the lotto, dies, and two of his mates pretend he’s alive to keep the winnings.
The Graham Norton Show (UTV Ireland, 10pm) In case you missed it on Friday.
Tin Cup (RTE 2, 11.55pm) If you’re not all golfed out by the masters, this movie is about a man trying to win over his rival’s love by winning the US Open.
