A Secret Buried

What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

A Secret Buried: The Mother and Baby Scandal (TV3 9pm)

TV3 will air their documentary surrounding the investigation into the mass grave in Tuam, which hit international headlines after it was revealed to contain the remains of 800 babies. The documentary will examine the scandal and those affected by it. Bound to be a gripping watch.

Meet the Mormons (Channel 4, 10pm)

When you think Mormon you think American, however, 3,071 people in Ireland live by the faith. 20-year-old Josh Field is a Mormon in Britain, and documentary follows him as he gives up two years of his life to attempt to convert the people of Leeds to the religion. How will he do? #meethemormons

Beauty Queen or Bust (Channel 4 9pm)

Documentaries galore. This one is a bit more light-hearted, following Miss World hopefuls as they battle it out to win their regional heats across England. Expect drama by the truckload. Think Drop Dead Gorgeous only in real life, but hopefully with less ‘accidents’.

Everyone’s talking about: Celebrity MasterChef Ireland

0007ad72-630 RTÉ RTÉ

The celebrity cooking competition has gotten the finely cut chop according to reports from The Irish Sun. A source said:

RTE simply don’t have the money to produce Celebrity MasterChef Ireland this summer. The budget isn’t there due to the double whammy of a drop in revenue and licence fee.

The show, produced by Screentime Shinawil and presented by Nick Munier and Dylan McGrath, will continue to look for a sponsor to keep the series running.

THERE IS HOPE.

Or switch over for…

  • The World Cup: USA v Germany (RTÉ TWO 5pm) Algeria vs Russia (9pm)
  • Celebrity Masterchef (BBC One, 9pm) FOOD.
  • Getaways (RTÉ One, 7pm) ‘Lovely girl’ Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain goes to the Alps.
  • Training Day (Sky Atlantic, 10.05pm) Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke kick some ass.
  • The Last Valley (RTÉ One, 12.50am) Can’t sleep? Let Michael Caine guide you through 17th century Germany.
