What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
Older Than Ireland (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)
A delightful documentary featuring anecdotes and nuggets of wisdom from thirty Irish centenerians who are, as the title suggests, older than Ireland. #OlderThanIreland
Great British Bake Off (BBC One, 8pm)
IT’S BISCUIT WEEK, GANG! Tonight’s episode will be hosted by Mel alone (Sue was absent due to a family tragedy) and will see contestants attempt to impress Mary Bery and Paul Hollywood with their biscuit offering. Get the Hobnobs in. #GBBO
Republic of Ireland vs. Oman (eir Sport 1, 7pm)
Republic of Ireland versus Oman might not seem a tantalising fixture, but it is Robbie Keane’s last ever match in a green jersey. Will he score in his last ever appearance? Will there be tears? Either way, we’ll miss you, champ. #ThanksRobbie
Everyone’s talking about… Xposé
Yesterday, TV3 announced some interesting changes to its evening showbiz programme Xposé. For one thing, the show is reverting back to its orginal half hour length.
And the show is bidding farewell to Lisa Cannon, Peter O’Riordan and Aisling O’Loughlin. Instead the show will now be hosted by Glenda Gilson, Karen Koster, Ruth O’Neill and Cassie Stokes.
Lisa Cannon confirmed today that she’ll be moving to the weekend edition of Ireland: AM instead.
So now. End of an era, wha’?
Or flick over for…
