The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

The Late Late Show is back for its new season tonight and they’re pulling out all the stops. Shane Ross, Michael Conlan, Gary and Paul O’Donovan and Annalise Murphy will all be chatting to Ryan about their Olympic triumphs and heartache, while Tubs will also chat to noted rides Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy. Not bad, eh? #thelatelateshow

Would I Lie To You? (BBC One, 8.30pm)

The popular comedy panel show returns tonight with GBBO’s Mel Giedroyc, boxer David Haye, actor Martin Kemp and comedian Romesh Ranganathan all on hand to tell some fantastical fibs.

Janis: Little Girl Blue (BBC Four, 10.30pm)

Critically acclaimed documentary about the late, great Janis Joplin, her career and her untimely death at the age of 27.

Everyone’s talking about… Smalltown

The drama series starring Pat Shortt debuted on TV3 last night and it appears to have gone down well on Twitter with many commending it for its portrayal of rural Ireland.
