UEFA Euro 2016 Live, Portugal v Iceland (RTE 2, 7.30pm)

Football mania has truly set in. The opening match of Group F kicks off at eight. There’s less pressure this time round so you can actually sit back and enjoy it.

Pitch Black (Syfy, 9pm)

This science fiction horror involves a spaceship crashing on to a planet that is overcome with nocturnal monsters that hate the light. Will they escape before the oncoming total eclipse takes hold? Vin Diesel stars in this cult classic.

Better Off Abroad (RTE 1, 9.35pm)

George Lee hosts the first of this two-part documentary following Irish people living abroad. This week, he is in Dubai chatting to ex-pats who chose the desert instead of the countryside.
