The Big Picture: A Woman’s World (RTÉ One, 9:35pm)

A special documentary examining what it is to be a woman in Ireland today, exposing the obstacles in the way of gender equality. A live studio discussion follows with presenter Miriam O’Callaghan. 

The Day Kennedy Died (RTÉ One, 11.05pm)

On 22nd November 1963, the world stood still when Irish-American President John F. Kennedy was shot and killed. The programme includes interviews with the person wrongly accused of killing him, the doctor who tried to save him, and the man who witnessed the assassination when he was six years old. If you’re able to grin-and-bear-it, this fascinating documentary is narrated by Kevin Spacey.

Ireland’s Fittest Family (RTÉ Two, 8pm)

The search for this year’s fittest family is at the quarter-finals stage. Families from Dublin, Laois, Tyrone and Wexford compete against each other for the chance to win €15,000.
