What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe (BBC 2, 11.20pm)

Brooker is back with that sarky, cynical take on current events you just can’t get anywhere else. Politics, media, TV, the internet–nothing is safe from Brooker’s watchful eye.

Fortitude (Sky Atlantic, 9pm)

Everyone is raving about it, but will it live up to the hype? Sky’s new (and most expensive ever)crime drama is set in the fictional but snowy town of Fortitude. A detective played by Stanley Tucci jets in to help police investigate a murder in the area. Expect manic polar bears, mysterious illnesses, and lots and lots of ice.

How To Get Away With Murder (RTÉ 2, 10pm)

New US drama, finally brought to our isle. Viola Davis plays a criminal law professor who challenges her class to solve cases her firm is involved in. The show is a massive hit in the States, and Davis recently won a SAG award for her role. Definitely a new one to get addicted to.

Everybody’s talking about… Yer man on Vincent Brown last night

The top trend on Twitter today is #VinB, and has been since the People’s Debate aired last night. Why? This guy, who almost made Vincent fall off his seat laughing when he mixed up his argument about same sex marriage.
