What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Graham Norton Show (BBC One, 10.45pm)

On this New Year’s Eve special, Graham Norton is joined by a veritable galaxy of stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Eddie Redmayne, Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. There will also be music from Years & Years. Such a good line-up that we might just be rethinking our New Year’s Eve plans…

New Year’s Eve Live (RTÉ One, 11pm)

RTÉ rings in the new year with a live broadcast from Dublin’s 3Arena with musical performances from Fatboy Slim, The Coronas, Kila and Ryan Sheridan. *flails madly to Right Here, Right Now*

Jools’ Annual Hootenanny 2015 (BBC Two, 11.10pm) )

And finally, the greatest New Year’s Eve show of them all features a stellar line-up as always. Expect performances from Tom Jones, Hozier, Jess Glynne, Paul Weller, Future Islands, James Bay and, because it wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve without her, Riby Turner.

Everyone’s talking about… Red Rock

Last night’s episode featured a shocking murder…

(Don’t read on if you don’t want spoilers.)

Yes, Superintendent James McKay was stabbed in cold blood and viewers were left in bits.

Richard Flood, who played the popular character, tweeted about McKay’s demise this morning and thanked the cast, crew and fans.

RIP, McKay.
