Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Second Captains Live (RTÉ Two, 10.30pm)

Charlie Brooker’s Election Wipe (BBC Two, 9pm)

Charlie Brooker casts his eye over the often ridiculous and sometimes farcical election campaign ahead of tomorrow’s general election. The only way to hype yourself up for tomorrow’s shenanigans, if you ask us. #electionwipe

Same Sex Marriage Referendum Debate with Vincent Browne (TV3, 11pm)

Last week, The Late Late Show hosted a debate on the referendum and this week it’s Vincent Browne’s term to moderate a debate between both sides. The Yes side will be represented by broadcaster George Hook and Senator David Norris, while Kathy Sinnot and Dr. Tom Finnegan will speak out for the No side. Things might get tense. #vinb

Everyone’s talking about… The Simpsons

The long-running comedy show and fixture of Sunday evenings has been picked up for another two seasons. The show is currently in its 26th season.

In a statement issued by Fox, Homer Simpson explained the secret to the show’s longevity:

I’ve outlasted Letterman, Jon Stewart and ‘McDreamy,’ because I have something they don’t: a costly 200-donut-a-day addiction.

And long may it last.

Champion’s League Live (RTÉ Two, 7.30pm) Barcelona face off against Bayern Munich.

Silver Linings Playbook (Film 4, 9pm) If you haven’t seen the J-Law/Bradley Cooper two-hander, do it tonight.
Peter Kay’s Car Share (BBC One, 9.30pm) The sitcom is breaking records – find out why tonight.
