What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday
Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Jonathan Ross Show (UTV Ireland, 9pm)
Keanu Reeves and Catherine Tate and Russell Brand will be joining Wossy on the sofa. Olly Murs will be performing. No, we still can’t get used to this being on a Wednesday. Look at it this way, it’ll be like it’s Saturday night… except it isn’t.
Abortion, Ireland’s Guilty Secret (RTÉ 2, 9pm)
This much discussed BBC documentary will finally get an airing on RTÉ tonight. The hour-long documentary will take a look at the number of women who must go abroad to England to access a safe and legal abortion.
Horrible Bosses (RTÉ 1, 9.35pm)
Comedy about, erm, horrible bosses, starring the likes of Jason Sudekis, Jennifer Aniston and Charlie Day. The employees are so miserable with their respective bosses, they hatch a plan to murder them. Bit extreme, but ok.
Everyone’s talking about… Helen Mirren on Jimmy Fallon
Helen Mirren appeared on Jimmy Fallon and recreated her Oscar speech after sucking a load of helium.
Just when we thought we couldn’t love her more…
Or flick over for…
Masterchef (BBC 1, 8pm) Best to watch this while eating. Lots of eating.
Second Captains Live (RTÉ 2, 10.05pm) All the sports you can throw a sports at.
Long Lost Family (TV 3, 9pm) The visual equivalent of chopping onions.
First Dates (Channel 4, 10pm) Addictive viewing, which involves watching people go on their first date together.
