What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday
EVERY LUNCHTIME, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Apprentice (BBC 1, 9pm)
Are you addicted yet? In the wake of last week’s double firing, the candidates are challenged to create scented candles and diffusers to sell to retailers as a luxury item. The two teams Summit and Tenacity are mixed up for the first time, which means that the boys have never won on their own and they aren’t too pleased. Oh. Well. Come for the humiliation, stay for the Nickface.
Champions League Live, Liverpool v Real Madrid (RTÉ 2, 7.30pm)
Whether you’re willing to admit it or not, this will be all anyone will be talking about this evening. Filter your Twitter timeline or just shush and get on board. All you have to do is shout and point.
Torathai na Daoirse (TG4, 9.30pm)
This documentary tells the story of the Dunnes strike in 1984 after one cashier, Mary Manning, refused to sell a grapefruit due to her union’s support of the anti-apartheid struggle. Should be an interesting watch about the momentous event.
Everyone’s talking about: I’m A Celebrity
It’s coming back, get excited. Stills from a new trailer featuring hosts Ant and Dec were released today to whet appetites. It won’t officially air until tonight but it looks like the lads are in some kind of Wizard of Oz spoof.
