Everyone’s talking about: Jared Leto and Margot Robbie’s new film
DC and Warner Bros are planning a new film about the Joker and Harley Quinn. Jared Leto and Margot Robbie will resume the roles they played in ‘Suicide Squard’ for a new spin off.
The movie will see the Joker and Harley Quinn kidnapping Dr. Phil, and it’s been described as a mix between ‘Bad Santa’ and ‘This is Us’.
Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, who previously were involved in ‘I Love You Philip Morris’ and ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ are writing and directing the spinoff.
Ficarra said of the film:
We were doing a relationship movie but with the sensibility of a ‘Bad Santa,’ f***ed up, mentally deranged people. It was a lot of fun.
The whole thing starts with Harley kidnapping Dr. Phil. Played by Dr. Phil hopefully. Because her and the Joker are having problems with their relationship… We had so much fun, I don’t know if we have had more fun writing a script in our career.
