Standby (RTE 1, 9.35pm)

If hump day is getting you down, make sure you switch on this rom-com tonight. Brian Gleeson stars as a man who takes a job at the tourist information desk in Dublin Airport, where he is reuinted with his first love. She’s waiting for a plane home to New York, so he has one night to persuade her to stay. Sob.

The Secret Life of Brothers and Sisters (Channel 4, 8pm)

Part one of this two part documentary airs tonight. It explores the sibling relationships of kids in the UK, and how they interact with each other as opposed to other kids.

Shades of Blue (Sky Living, 9pm)

Jennifer Lopez stars in this new crime drama, and when has Jennifer Lopez ever acted in a bad project? Oh yeah, Gigli. This promises to be better, with JLO taking on the role of Brooklyn detective Harlee Santos who turns on her bad-cop team to become an informant. Juicy.

Everyone’s talking about… Len Goodman

Fans of Strictly, grab a tissue. BBC have announced that beloved judge Len Goodman is leaving the show this year.

Containment (e4, 9pm) New series about a deadly epidemic that breaks out in Georgia, imposing a quarantine and forcing those inside to fight for their lives.

Man Down (Channel 4, 10pm) New series of Greg Davies’ excellent comedy.

Eat Well for Less (BBC 1, 8pm) Because we love seeing what food people buy.

Friday Night Lights (TG4, 11.05pm) If you’re up late and fancy starting this excellent US series again, TG4 are showing the pilot.
