What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Who’s on the Late Late? And here are the other shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY WEEKDAY, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Crossfire (TV3, 8pm)

Hosted by Sean Moncrieff, TV3′s flagship new gameshow starts tonight. The format sees contestants answer general knowledge questions while trying to target each other at the same time. But will it work on the telly? #TV3Crossfire

Alan Carr: Chatty Man (Channel 4, 10pm)

Carr is back with a new series. Tonight he’ll be speaking to Ricky Gervais, Kermit the Frog and Gary Barlow – and with Graham Norton still on holiday, Carr will have the celebrity-chat Twittersphere pretty much to himself. #ChattyMan

Joanna Lumley Meets Will.i.am (BBC One, 11.05pm)

Upper-class matriarch Joanna Lumley travels to LA to spend several days hanging out with Will.i.am. Reportedly he was starstruck during filming because he’d seen her in Absolutely Fabulous. Surely the results can only be entertainingly bonkers. (Hashtag TBD.)

Who’s on the Late Late Show later?

Brendan Gleeson, Killian Scott (aka Tommy from Love/Hate), Barry McGuigan, and Russian chess grandmaster-turned-political-activist Garry Kasparov. Music from Pixie Lott.

AMC AMC

The AMC juggernaut’s season four finale will air in the US on Sunday night, and excitement is already cranking up on social media. Creator Robert Kirkman has promised a shocking result for leading man Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) as well as “big questions” answered. But there’s only one thing that people REALLY want to know:

Or switch over for…

  • Masterchef (BBC One, 8.30pm) First quarter-final.
  • Gogglebox (Channel 4, 9pm) Reliably hilarious TV review series.
  • Mammon (More4, 9pm) New Norwegian-noir drama about a journalist chasing political corruption.
  • Lambing Live (BBC Two, 8pm) High-stakes documentary about… sheeps giving birth. You heard it here first.
  • Scent Of A Woman (UTV, 11.05pm) Film. Al Pacino stars as a cantankerous, blind, alcoholic retired military officer.
