Dave Allen at Peace (RTÉ One, 9.30pm & BBC Two, 9pm)
Aiden Gillen stars as Irish comedian Dave Allen, in this documentary that follows Allen from his childhood and beginnings, to his eventual success as one of Ireland and the UK’s greatest names in comedy. The moving drama looks at how his life and career was shaped by the loss of his father, his brother and half of a finger. Tommy Tiernan, Ian McElhinney, Pauline McLynn, Julian Rhind-Tutt and many other familiar faces also make appearances throughout.
Travel Man: 48 Hours in Brussels (Channel 4, 8.30pm)
Richard Ayoade’s back for another series of his hilarious two-day excursions to various cities around the world. This time, he’s heading to Brussels in Belgium, and is joined by Lee Mack. The pair of them will show you everything that can be done during a 48 hour visit to Brussels, from a visit to the iconic Atomium, to all of the best food that’s on offer in the Beglian capital.
Clueless (Comedy Central, 4pm)
The 1995 teen comedy/romance, that stars Alicia Silverstone as an affluent and socially successful teen at the top of her high school’s food chain. Cher tries her hand at everything, from matchmaking to makeovers while facing constant criticism from her step-brother who is played by the ageless Paul Rudd.
Everybody’s talking about… Nicole Scherzinger getting the boot from the X Factor.
X Factor insiders say that Nicole Scherzinger won’t be a part of the judging panel on this year’s show, as Simon Cowell brings in “fresh blood” in the hopes of saving the X Factor from the plummeting ratings. It’s suspected that either Louis Walsh or Craig David could take Nicole’s place. (RTÉ)
