EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
Educating the East End (Channel 4, 9pm)
We’re still waiting for this seasons Musharraf moment, but Educating the East End is keeping up the high quality of this series of fly-on-the-wall documentaries in UK schools. This week the year 11s are getting ready for their GCSEs… and the prom. #EducatingTheEastEnd
The Great British Bake Off Masterclass (BBC Two, 7pm)
Now that the flour has settled and the ultimate star baker has been crowned, Mary and Paul fulfil their absolute dream and get to show us how they would have made everything 100 times better than any of the contestants. #GBBO
Connected (RTÉ 2, 10.30pm)
Elayne rails against unwanted attention. Alanna wants Hutchy to make more plans for the time they spend together, and Nicole is exasperated with Noel, again. #Connected
Everybody’s talking about… #SCAR JO
Scarlett Johansson is making the move to telly. She’s signed up to star in an eight-part adaptation of Edith Wharton’s novel The Custom of the Country.
ScarJo is the latest in a string of film stars to return to the small screen. The guy who wrote the screenplays for Atonement and Dangerous Liaisons is on board for The Custom of the Country. It hasn’t been confirmed which network will run it in the UK.
Or switch over for…
- Who Do You Think You Are? (BBC One, 9pm) It’s Twiggy’s turn
- Scrotal Recall (Channel 4, 10pm) This new comedy is garnering decent reviews
- Meet the McDonalds (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm) It’s the last in the series for Kelly and co
