DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
First Dates Ireland (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm)
Tonight’s episode features one of last year’s daters, Killian from Midleton, who has returned once again to try find love after his disastrous experience on the show in the past. He’s paired up with Danielle from Derry, but will their sense of humour be compatible? An artist from Arizona named Tuey comes to Ireland to get paired up with a tour guide named Sean from Swords, while a Limerick singer named Martin gets matched with a former wild child named Chancelle from Galway. Finally, we’ve got personal trainer Kristina from Tallaght, who unleashes her Russian charm on a Coolock fitness fanatic called Karl.
Would I Lie to You? The Best Bits (BBC One, 8pm)
A look back at the best moments from the last series of the show, presented by Rob Brydon. It’ll feature some of the most entertaining moments between team captains Lee Mack and David Mitchell, and celeb panelists like Jo Brand, Daisy May Cooper, Ronan Keating, Prue Leith, Scarlett Moffatt and Stacey Dooley.
Casablanca (Sky Arts, 9pm)
As World War II rages on in Europe, a laconic American nightclub owner living in Morocco finds his world turned upside down when the woman he once loved reappears in his life with a husband who is on the run from the Nazis. As passion reignites between the former lovers, the expatriate must decide whether to flee with his beloved or to send her away with her new love, who is of vital importance to the Allied war effort. Considered to be one of the all-time Hollywood greats, Michael Curtiz’s Oscar winning film features a screenplay that combines romance, adventure, comedy and intrigue, alongside the classic tune, As Time Goes By.
Everybody’s talking about… The next series of You.
Netflix Netflix
A very familiar face will be joining the next series. Victoria Pedretti, who played Nellie in The Haunting of Hill House is joining the cast as a character called Love Quinn, an aspiring chef who doesn’t care about social media. Her character will be tending to a deep grief, so when she meets Joe she senses a shared knowledge of profound loss. Netflix! We really don’t wanna see this woman suffer any more. Give her a break.
