What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm) 

Author Louise O’Neill (her book Asking for It is all people can talk about at the moment), Rick Stein, Brian McFadden and Muriel herself Toni Collette are all visiting Tubs this evening.

The Thin Red Line (RTÉ Two, 10pm) 

Sean Penn, Adrien Brody, George Clooney, John Cusack, Jared Leto – just some of the names who make up the ensemble cast for this 1998 epic war film set during World War II. Regularly appears on lists of the greatest war movies ever made.

Rugby World Cup (TV3 from 7pm) 

The opening ceremony is at 7pm and then England and Fiji kick off at 8pm for the first fixture of the tournament. Matt Cooper is at the helm of TV3′s coverage.
