Ah lads... Irish Oscar nominees are STILL being claimed as British

THE IRISH HAVE completely owned the Oscar nominations this year.

It was announced earlier this afternoon that Saoirse Ronan, Michael Fassbender, Lenny Abrahamson, and Emma Donoghue have all secured a nod.

With that, came the predictable act of media claiming them as British.
