William Shatner wouldn't say no to a Walking Dead cameo

Captain Kirk really likes that Andrew Lincoln.

COULD STAR TREK legend William Shatner make an appearance in a future episode of The Walking Dead?

If his Twitter feed is anything to go by then it’s a definite possibility.

Shatner was inundated with tweets from fans of the show after leading man Andrew Lincoln said the former Captain Kirk was the celebrity he would love to see playing themselves in an episode.

Lincoln was speaking during an interview on AMC’s The Talking Dead after last night’s season finale.

Shatner was quick to respond, much to their delight.

A few more tweets and about 30 minutes later, Shatner offered the fans an interesting deal: If they wanted to see him on the show, they had to vote for Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus in a Zap2It poll to find social media’s most influential TV star.

The concept is little more than a twinkle in the lads’ eyes at this stage, but we’re sure the show’s creators and show-runners will have some say if it comes to pass.
