MUSIC IS THE most effective scene-setter and American band Pink Martini should know. Their work has featured on TV series like The West Wing, The Sopranos and Dead Like Me and movies such as Mr and Mrs Smith, Shanghai Kiss and Nurse Betty.

If you fancy a night in the company of this classical, jazz and pop-mixing group, TheJournal.ie has FOUR pairs of tickets up for grabs. Pink Martini play the National Concert Hall in Dublin the weekend after next.

These tickets are for Sunday, 9 October, 8pm.

They appear with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and conductor Robert Ziegler.
