Winners of photography competition announced

Ireland’s amateur photographers show what the country is made of…

THE WINNERS OF the GoIreland.com Photography Awards for 2009 have been announced.

The amateur photographers were asked to try and capture the beauty of Ireland’s towns, cities and villages – and to “share the remarkable and beautiful things in Ireland that evoke surprise and admiration among Irish people and visitors alike”.

There was one overall winner and 11 runners up, and the beautiful images will all be reproduced in an original John Hinde calendar.
