So, you’ll be interested to know that a new comedy series she produced gets its debut on RTÉ 2 tonight.

I know, you have questions.

Hold on, back to Sharon, how is she involved?

Well, the show is based on Lorna Martin’s brilliant memoir, Woman on the Verge of a Mental Breakdown, so she gets kudos for its creation.

Sharon on the other hand, is behind the production company, Merman, who translated the book to our TV screens. She also acts as executive producer and writer.

Great, so what’s the plot?

Well, it’s pretty much about your life. It follows three Dublin friends as they struggle to sort their lives out.

Laura gets sacked as a godmother when she sleeps through the christening, Alison gets back with an ex she doesn’t love, and Katie is looking at artificial insemination. There’s more dramz here than Sunday brunch with the girls.

Think of it like GIRLS, but they’re older, more fucked up, and less hipster.

Who’s in it?

The three friends are played by actresses Kerry Condon, Nina Sosanya, and Eileen Walsh.

Sharon appears as a psychologist, while other familiar faces include Yasmine Akram and Emmett Scanlan.

How do I know her?

Who, Kerry Condon? She was in Better Call Saul as Stacey, and also voiced Iron Man’s Irish suit assistant, Friday, in the Avenger movies.

Eileen is best known for her role in the Magdalene Sisters, and appears as Kate in Catastrophe.

Nina had roles in Love Actually, Juliet Naked, and countless TV shows.

When can I watch it again? And for how long?

The six part series begins tonight on RTE 2 at 10pm.
