The 'working inside during this glorious weather' survival guide

It’s tough, but we’ve got your back.

LET’S BE STRAIGHT about this.

Working indoors with weather is the way it is currently is tough.

All you want to do is get out into the great wide open, but instead you’re stuck inside, thinking about the fact that the weather will probably turn before you even get a chance to enjoy it.

You are thinking that, aren’t you?  No?  Gosh you’re very positive.

For those of you who are thinking that, and struggling with the indoor nature of your job, we’ve got a few tips.

Here is your guide to surviving working inside during this glorious weather

1.  Set up an ice cream rota

You need treats to get through this.  An ice pop or some ice cream will give you a taste of Summer and each person who provides the office with ice cream will feel like a beatific hero for a few minutes.

2.  Change your computer wallpaper to something along these lines

Things could be worse, you know.

3.  Convince yourself that everyone who works outside secretly hates their job

No really, they do.  Imagine what it’s like for them 75% of the time?  Cold, wet and miserable.

Let them have their moment in the sun.

4.  Minimise your use of social media

You really don’t need to be taunting yourself with pictures like this:

5.  Print this out and stick it up beside your desk

6.  Remind yourself that some people are envying your air conditioned surroundings

7.  Take comfort in the fact that the weather is going to be nice at the weekend

8.  Make the most of your lunch break, even if you work on Grafton Street

9.  Remind yourself that the sunsets are the most beautiful parts of these days anyway

And make sure you get out and enjoy them!
