Here's some vegan-friendly makeup bits to help you usher in World Vegan Month
SO YOU’VE MASTERED Sober October (ahem), and you fancy a new challenge?
Well, you’re in luck – November marks Word Vegan Month. World Vegan Month is celebrated around the world as a time to recognise how far the vegan movement has come, to highlight how accessible and beneficial a vegan lifestyle can be and to encourage the vegan-curious to adopt veganism by sharing advice, recipes and ideas.
If you’re struggling with milk alternatives and sausage substitutes, there is another area of your life that you can look at – your makeup bag.
Yep – while a lot of your makeup might be cruelty-free, that doesn’t necessarily make it vegan. A product that is vegan does not contain any animal ingredients or animal-derived ingredients, like beeswax.
If you feel like making the swap for good, here’s some products that are certified vegan:
1. Ofra Highlighter Mini in ‘Rodeo Drive’ (€10.75)
BeautyBay BeautyBay
Here’s a swatch video if you’re curious:

2. BeautyBay Identity 42 Colour palette (€28)
BeautyBay BeautyBay
You wouldn’t need another palette ever again with this.
3. Sugarpill Cosmetics liquid lipstick in ‘Trinket’ (€16.50)
This is a really pretty pink colour with some gold going through it. Unique AF.
4. Juvia’s Place palettes – except the ‘Warrior’ palette (starting from €23.50)
The Zulu palette BeautyBay BeautyBay
Juvia’s Place is mad hyped brand because of the insane pigment and price point their palettes offer. There’s definitely one that will float your boat.
5. The Ordinary Coverage Foundation (€6.75)
Beauty Bay Beauty Bay
This provides buildable coverage without being heavy or cakey on the skin. A lot of people find it great for hiding broken veins and imperfections too (and that’s for less than €7!)
6. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow pomade (€21.25)
Beauty Bay Beauty Bay
This is my holy grail brow product. You can go as strong or as fluffy as you want with this – it all depends on the application.
