EARLIER THIS WEEK, a massive conversation about travelling was started on Twitter, when a Buzzfeed reporter shared a picture from her holiday and wrote:
A boy once told me it was “a bit tragic” to travel alone. But I think the real tragedy is to not see the places you want because you’re scared of your own company.
The post has since gotten thousands of replies (and over 60,000 likes) from people who largely agreed with the post.

The thought of traveling to foreign countries alone, especially as a woman, sounds crazy. I love it though and it’s made me a stronger, more confident person. It’s changed my life, to say the least.
