Here's the Irish film set in Offaly up for major international prize
A NEW IRISH film starring Game of Thrones and Charlie actor Aidan Gillen has been nominated for a prestigious Berlin Film Festival award.
You’re Ugly Too, set in the midlands and filmed in Dublin and Offaly sees Gillen released from prison on compassionate leave to look after his niece following the death of her mother.
The pair try to make a go at being a family in the midlands, with various disastrous setbacks.
You’re Ugly Too will have its premiere at the Berlin festival next month and is up for the prize of Best First Feature, with a prize of €50,000 up for grabs.
