Zayn's just burned his ex-fiancé on Twitter and the internet is divided

Can’t we all just get along?

EARLIER THIS MONTH former One Direction star Zayn Malik went through a break up of another kind… with his fiancé Perrie Edwards.

He reportedly ended the four year relationship with the Little Mix singer via text message and the pair haven’t been spotted together since.

There has, of course, been much speculation that they’re posting ridey selfies to rile each other up, that they’re flirting with other people to maximise jealousy, and that she’s ‘devastated’ after the split.

(She seems to be doing okay, to be fair. Little Mix spent weeks at number one with Black Magic and appeared on stage with Taylor Swift in California last night)

Devastated or not, she’s sure to be feeling SOMETHING after seeing what Zayn has done:

Yep, he retweeted. HE RETWEETED.

Little Mix and US band Fifth Harmony are currently duking it out for top girl band status with competing singles. While Little Mix performed with T Swift last night, she had Fifth Harmony on stage with her the night before.

Needless to say, the Zayn shade has raised some eyebrows…

But are there double standards at play?

Zayn isn’t the only one who’s been casting the shade umbrella at arm’s length. Perrie has stayed fairly quiet about the whole break up, but her Little Mix bandmates have been less tight-lipped.

At a meet and greet last Monday Perrie’s bandmade Jade was seen carrying a sign which read ‘Zayn is irrelevant’.

Then at another event Little Mix’s Jesy was seen pointing to Perrie while singing the line “just to help him see what he’s been missin’” from  Black Magic.
