EARLIER IN THE week, Jimmy Kimmel asked Zoë Kravitz about how strange life is when you grow up with two very famous parents (Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz).

The 29-year-old actress rolled her eyes and sighed jokingly, before launching into a story about how Prince was one of the few celebs who actually impressed her when she was a youngster. However, this was not the case on every encounter.

Kravitz had met Prince several times throughout her childhood but was reunited with him at a club one night when she was eighteen. Prince gave Zoë a lift home and she told him about a live show she had been working on at the time. The next day, Zoë received a call from Prince’s assistant who wanted to know when and where the show was on.

Prince showed up, then left early to avoid being spotted by the public. Later on, his assistant called Zoë up again.

The show’s over, my phone rings. I answer the phone and it’s the Prince phone guy. He says “Hello, Miss Kravitz.” Hello, again. He said, “Prince would like to know what you’re doing.” So I was like, “Oh, we’re at the after party for the show. He’s welcome to come.”

Once Prince arrived to the party, Zoë began to notice he was really ‘monopolosing’ her time.

I love Prince.. He’s amazing.. But he’s just requiring all of my attention. Again, fine. You’re Prince… but I just wanna hang out with my friends, so now I’m just kinda like ugh… Prince.

Eventually, Kravitz managed to dump Prince on one of her pals that he had a crush on.

I watched them leave [together] and I was like, “Ugh. Prince is finally gone.”

Although it seems that Zoë’s a little bit impatient with her higher ups in showbiz, she had plenty of time for Meryl Streep after they worked together on ‘Big Little Lies’. It was Zoë’s first time working with Streep, so they socialised a little bit outside of work.

We do a lot of dinners together, we went bowling.

Meryl, I think she’s very dedicated to everything she does, so she was really into the game and I got a strike and she turned to me and she said “You’re my hero!”

I know it was just bowling, and I know she didn’t mean it, but time slowed down… I looked deep into her eyes and I was like “I’m  your hero?!”
