ZOE SUGG AKA Zoella has cordially invited her fans to join her as she guides them on the do’s and dont’s of taking a walk, and the ins and outs of making a sandwich.

No, seriously.

And after buying Cordially Invited, which was penned by the 28-year-old YouTuber, fans have wasted no time lambasting its contents online.

So, for those of you haven’t been keeping up to date on Zoella’s contribution to the literary world, Cordially Invited purports to be ‘a seasonal guide to celebrations and hosting’.

And if that means telling her fans how to make a sandwich with the help of a handy step-by step guide or explaining why it’s important to consider the weather if they choose to leave the house, then she’s nailed it.

In a shocking twist, however, fans aren’t particularly flattered by the implication of the content, with one Amazon reviewer writing: “I don’t need to be told how to go on a walk.”

Amazon is awash with one-star reviews from customers; some of whom even claim to be seeking a refund.

She states the obvious and the way the book is written suggest we are all of zero intelligence. Who needs help on how to go on a walk or make sandwiches?

It’s a load of to-do lists telling you basic things that everybody already knows and recommending games and films that everyone already knows.

I have no idea what she was thinking when she decided to write this book, first of all everything in this book can be found online for free. Secondly, the information inside the book is so basic, I don’t need to be told how to go on a walk?

It does not benefit me or teach me anything, and to be honest, is pretty embarrassing.

The hints and tips are beyond idiotic – saying to wear a coat when you go for a walk, reminding you to eat chocolate at Easter, making sure guests have fresh sheets. I bought a signed copy and will be returning.

And for anyone who was in any doubt?

This entire book is the embodiment of when you need to reach the word count on your essay.

Ouch.

Looks like it’s back to the drawing board for Zoella… or, indeed, the chalk board; an item she patiently teaches her readers how to use in Cordially Invited.
